In the spirit of America, I threw nearly every technique I know at this mani. Vinyls? Check. 3D glittery add-ons? Sure, why not. Vertical gradient? I don’t even know how to do that. DO IT FOR AMERICA. I promised to try new nail art for July, and here it is:
I started off with a base of Color Club “Harp on It,” because I actually don’t any regular white polish and because HOLO FOR AMERICA. On my pointer and ring fingers, I then used burst vinyls from Vibrant Vinyls and Julep “Karissa.” The burst vinyl kid of reminds me of patriotic bunting.
For my index and pinky fingers, I sponged on a gradient of Pahlish “Sailing the Hispaniola” (reviewed here) and Julep “Karissa.” Because I am a terrible person, it amuses me that I used a pirate themed polish for my patriotic mani. On topic the gradient, I added 3D white stars to keep the design from being too abstract. I really like how this looked, but dang those stars are a pain in the butt. They started catching on things and falling off immediately. By the time I took the pictures, they are all gone on my dominant hand, and I had to glue one back on for the left hand.
So what do you think? I tried to go all out and throw nearly everything I know (and some things I don’t) into one mani. I’m happy with how the gradient turned out and I think I’ll try that again.
Until next week: happy Fourth of July (to the American crowd) and have a lovely weekend!
that gradient! ❤
I love the starburst. And I agree – holo > white.
I agree, what American polish lover’s 4th is complete without holo? Haha!
Love the holo and the start studs are really cute. =)
Love your vertical gradient and you can never go wrong with holo!
