Hello from the airport! I’m writing this post from a host of planes, trains, and automobiles as I make my way across the country! It’s quite fitting actually, since I’m headed to my family’s home and these nails are also a tribute to home!
I think of these nails as “the lady lumberjack mani,” but the whole idea was inspired by my home state of Washington. The trees and mountains run deep, people, even if I live 3,000 miles away most of the time.
I used Pepper Pot Polish “Glamazon” (reviewed here) as the base for the look. Since the metallic brick red screamed “flannel” to me, I added a buffalo plaid design over top using Uber Chic Collection 2-02 and Bundle Monster black stamping polish. Over that, I used the same plate and MoYou London “Falcon” to stamp mountains on the tips (alpine French tips?). For the accent I used KBShimmer “Sun and Games” for the gold glitter and the same plate for the trees. It wouldn’t be Washigton without the forest!
I am so happy with this look! Almost as happy as I am to head back to my forested homeland. Ahoy family! I (and a handful of polishes) will be there soon!
What do you think of this look? What do you think I should call it?
